Asian Pacific American Heritage Car Parade

May is Asian Pacific Americans (APA) Heritage Month, paying tribute to the generations of proud Asians, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders who enriched America’s history and continue today to be instrumental in the success of the United States and its territories. Asian Pacific Americans have a rich heritage thousands of years old, including shaping US history—right up to today.

The Jacksonville-based APA of Northeast Florida opened the month-long celebration with a car parade around parts of Jacksonville FL, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and Jacksonville Beach on Saturday, May 8, 2021.  This opportunity was for all APA to show pride in their heritage and patriotism.  Other Patriots, US Veterans, First Responders and businesses participated in the parade and displayed APA banners, flags and car magnets as well as US colors.  The We Can Be Heroes Foundation was proud to join APA of Northeast Florida as sponsors of the event and reception following the parade.

Florida Representative Cord Byrd, Parade Marshall and Jacksonville Councilman Al Ferraro and Guest of Honor Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Chief Matt Nemeth welcomed participates.
