Community Furnishes Recreation Room for Homeless Veterans

(JACKSONVILLE) – Homeless Veterans in reemployment programs at the Jacksonville Clara White Mission were honored with the first Recreation Room at the facility.  Donors rallied from the three surrounding counties to furnish the room with a foosball table, indoor basketball, magnetic dart board, board games, masks, furniture, military service wall hangings, supplies, and services of a professional painter.

Clay, Duval, and St. Johns County donors included Community Presbyterian Church of Atlantic Beach, American Legion Auxiliary 233 of Ponte Vedra, Women’s Tuesday Mah Jongg Group of Fleming Island, Volunteer Painting Contractor, Anonymous Veterans, and Volunteers with the We Can Be Heroes Foundation.

Well done, Neighbors!
