Susan Shoaf has been an Unsung Hero for years with service to her community and helping those in need.  When Susan heard masks could help reduce the spread of COVID-19, she immediately began sewing durable masks.  She sewed over 700 surgical masks in first months of the announcements.  Susan shipped and gave away masks to health care workers, hospitals, doctor offices, rest homes, churches and friends.  She is an active volunteer with the Northeast Florida Dress a Girl Pinewood nonprofit charity with Holly Scheff and others.  This group made over 2200 surgical mask and distributed them in their community.

The Pinewood Chapter of Dress A Girl Around the World has sewn and shipped thousands of dresses to girls in need in countries around the globe.  Each dress comes with a handmade doll.  The dresses  and dolls are delivered by missionaries to girls in 37 countries.  Over the years, Susan has made countless dresses for needy girls around the globe.

Well done, Susan Shoaf!
