Why is The Veteran Important?

Brave, honorable, and dignified. These words perfectly describe the people who spent years selflessly training and fighting for our freedom. You cannot think of the prosperous country that is the United States without thinking of the people who carried it to that success. They stood with the U.S. and risked it all for us and our families. These heroes sacrificed their lives so that we could live ours.

Veterans dedicate their hearts to serving our nation. They protect our rights and liberties, asking for zero in return.  The country you see today would be nothing without our soldiers. They fought for our independence, our rights, and our liberation. Veterans are role models for any United States citizen. They are selfless people who left everything behind to defend our safety, and in turn, lose theirs.

These men and women are the backbones of American democracy and its values. Not only do veterans fight for our country, but they also fight for others. U.S. soldiers help nations in need. They serve and assist in military aid to help support and protect other countries. It is unbelievably important for our and others’ protection and defense that these options are available.

Veterans in the past and now continue to sacrifice the most for our great nation. They risk homes, friends, and even their lives for the sake of others. Many suffer from what they underwent in their time serving.  Mental and physical issues affect millions of veterans who fought in wars. Reminders of what they have witnessed will cling to them for years, and memories will hinder their ability to live freely after the military. It is a tragic outcome for our heroes, but they decided, understanding that it was a very real possibility. Many people would not risk something like that, but our veterans did, all for the freedom we have now.

To summarize. Without our veterans, the United States we know and honor would be nothing. Without the people who sought sovereignty, we would have none. Our democracy and our patriotism all arise from the soldiers defending this nation. Every sentence we speak, every choice we make, every impulse we act on, we have our veterans to thank for the liberty to do so. Finally, the very reason I can write this, the very reason I can show my support, and display my gratitude to our soldiers, is because of our veterans. The veterans who died for our privilege to speak, the veterans who sought justice and independence, and the veterans who made it so citizens can live with safety and stability. Our veterans, to whom I will forever be indebted. These reasons are why the Veteran is, and always will be, important.
