In memory of Fred Gottshalk

December 1, 1941 – August 12, 2018

Fred Sylvester Gottshalk was a good and faithful man, a great fellow patriot, and a beloved Christian friend.  Fred truly believed that America should never forget what happened in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012.  When the Benghazi Tribute Team formed in 2013 to honor the Americans abandoned in Benghazi, Fred joined in the planning, communication, and security.  He worked to ensure security at each annual Benghazi Tribute and so today, we remember Fred;s dedication to God, family, America, and the Benghazi Tributes.  We honor his memory and dearly missed him at this November 3rd, 2018 Annual Benghazi Tribute.

Fred was a veteran of both the Navy and the Air Force and Flight Engineer in the Navy and Air Force Reserves.  Always a man of service, Fred volunteered at the southern border assisting law enforcement.  As a leader and a member of the Tea Party, he often attended meetings of the Clay County School Board and the County Commission.

Fred is missed by his wife, Andrea; ten children and step children; family; friends; and by the United States of America.
