Homeless Veterans Welcomed Guest Speaker
Ken Wood, U.S. Navy Veteran

We are grateful for the kindness and generosity of an unnamed donor for providing the three-course meal to Homeless Veterans attending our Aug 22 luncheon at the Clara White Mission.

Navy Veteran Ken Wood has a passion for the Constitution and veterans stories. Wood spoke of veterans defending our Constitution after their discharge.  It was a pleasure to hear unfamiliar stories of veterans preserving our Constitution, such as the story of retired Marine General Smedley Butler. General Butler was a two-time Medal of Honor recipient. As a Veteran he foiled “The Business Plot”, a horrific conspiracy to overthrow
President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

General Butler’s and every veterans’ dedication to their lifelong oath to defend our Constitution and the rule of law was discussed. The devotion and pride of Veterans for their U.S. Military Servicewas evident and moving.

As we work to provide meals for homeless veterans and veterans living in dormitories for reemployment programs, we ask you to help these veterans reclaim their dignity with a donations. Everyone across America can help –
