Turning Points in America and the Benghazi Tribute Team is collecting food items, new household and personal items for women veterans in-need at the Boulevard House and men veterans in-need at the Ashley Street Clara White Mission transitional housing units.
What you can donate:
Food Items: Prepackaged individual serving of sealed or canned items with pop-top tabs, such as Vienna Sausage, Beanie Weenies, fruit cups or similar. Prepackaged servings of beef jerky, cheese or peanut butter crackers, cookies, snack packs, protein, granola, power or breakfast bars or similar.
Household items – New or gently used:
Bed and bath: Twin sheets sets, blankets and spreads; bedside lamps and tables, night stands, clock radios, rugs, bath, hand and wash towels, shower curtains and new pillows.
Kitchen: Pots, pans, utensils, dinner ware, flatware, coffee pots, food storage containers, new freezer/storage plastic bags, floor rugs,
Cleaning: Mops, brooms, dust/cleaning cloths, laundry and dish detergent,
Toiletry & Personal Items: Soap, lotions, shampoo, mouth wash, tooth paste, tooth brushes, combs, brushes, disposable razors, individual sewing kits, tissues, sanitary items & items favored by women.
JTA Bus Tickets for work and appointments. Can be purchased at most Walgreens.
Miscellaneous: Foot lockers, umbrellas, Printer ink for Cannon, Image Class, MF 4570dni
Wal-Mart Gift Cards: Small amount ($5 -$10) card are a luxury and greatly appreciated.
Furniture – Contact Rhonda Henry at Clara White Veterans Program at 904 34-4162 X 1109 to work out delivery for bedroom and living room, chest of drawers, armoires, dressers, couches, chairs, coffee and end tables, twin bed frames and new twin mattress/springs.
