54 years Little League Volunteer Service. In 1968, Barbara and several parents decided that boys and girls needed an opportunity to play baseball and softball. They reached out to Little League International, established the Waldorf Little League, and formed a Board of Directors. The League was so successful playing games throughout the county, they soon needed their own ballpark. Barbara participated with the Board in working with the County and and State for a dedicated sports complex. They successfully gained and dedicated the Robert D. Stethem Memorial Sports Complex. Barbara has continuously served on the Board through this process, serving as Treasurer and Secretary. She also worked and shopped for their Concession Stand for decades.
