Dow Peters with Grandchildren at Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1046 Scholarship Awards

Dow Peters, Jr. served in the U. S. Maine Corps Tank Battalion during the Vietnam War.  He has  remained always faithful and active with the Jacksonville Semper Fidelis Society and serves on the Jacksonville Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 1045 Board of Directors.

Marine Corp Veteran Peters spoke at public high schools to tell students about the U.S involvement in the Vietnam War to help free and rescue the South Vietnam people from Communism. Sadly, almost all public school students were not familiar with the War or had not even heard of the Vietnam War, which lasted almost 20 years.

Dow makes wellness phone calls to check on the needs of fellow veterans.  He has participated in building exterior ramps at veteran homes and repaired scooters for veterans in-need.

Dow Peters has attended many parades and supported various veteran causes.  He is a faithful warrior supporting his brothers in arms and gratefully giving back to the next generation.

Dow and his wife, Peaches, helped abandoned and foster children for years. They adopted children and put them through college.  He has been a good role model and assisted children with scholarships.  His grandchildren pictured above received scholarship awards in 2023.

Well done, Dow W. Peters, Jr.
