Sean Vernon joined the Atlantic Coast Young Marines at an early age and by hard work and dedication, he steadily worked his way to the Master Sergent of the Unit. The We Can Be Heroes Foundation has observed his dedication and professional manners since 2017. He is dependable, stands alert with confidence and is attentive to the needs of others. Other Young Marines look to him for leadership and guidance. Sean is courteous and professional as he trains other Young Marines in a disciplined manner. He has been nominated for awards and promotion in the Young Marine program.
Sean has led the Young Marines and large audiences at many events in flag ceremonies, graduation and holiday ceremonies, and parades in Jacksonville and other towns in Florida. He has led the Young Marines participation at various veteran organizations. Sean was interviewed by national television and spoke eloquently on the importance for all Americans to realize how much our veterans need our love and support. Sean has served as an exemplary role model leader. As Sean Vernon graduates from the Atlantic Coast Young Marines in 2024, his plans include joining the U.S. Marine Corp. The Corp will be receiving a self-disciplined and honorable young man to serve in defense of freedom. Sean is following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, a Marine who served in World War II.
