Centenarian Joe Shomo is a World War II Veteran living in St. Augustine, FL. Pictured above is Joe in 1943. At the 2024 Pearl Harbor Remembrance in Jacksonville, Florida, Joe explained in this video why those that served during World War II are call the “Greatest Generation”. The large audience gave Mr. Shomo a standing ovation. Young Marines and hundreds of others at the event asked for family and group pictures with Veteran Shomo.
